The Seeker Corvette has the dubious honor of being the only other corvette produced by within the Tantalus system during the Colony Rebellion besides the Pirate Corvette. They were constructed by the Tantalus habitats on a more or less standardized design. Tantalus couldn’t build the Hammer corvettes for a number of reasons, but the Seeker was within their ability. It is intended mostly as a scout that can defend itself.
The Seeker is smaller than the Hammer by a small amount and closer to the size of a heavy fighter or later era combat dropship. It has a fighter style inline cockpit, though it is much more roomy than any conventional fighter cockpit and the crew can actually sleep in the cockpit if needed. A pair of standard missile launchers on the underside can each fire a pair of missiles, though this is less than half the total missile weight a Hammer can produce. It also has a railgun turret with dual barrels.
Only a few dozen were made originally during the Rebellion, but pirates took a liking to the design. They can threaten effectively unarmed merchant vessels, however their ability to loiter and watch key locations is a more common use. Crews hate these long missions however as spending months in highly enclosed spaces is not what anyone would call fun.
