History

The Chengdu J-20 is a stealth, twin-engine fifth-generation fighter aircraft developed by the Chengdu Aerospace Corporation for the Chinese People’s Liberation Army Air Force (PLAAF). China’s J-20 platform was a capable, long-range strike system in the Asia-Pacific region. When production of the Biao Aerospace Fighter went into full swing these were relegated to secondary tasks and when the Jianhuren Aerospace Fighter began rolling out the J-20 was sold to other nations as surplus. Many smaller or less advanced nations picked them up to replace even older fighters.

The fighter has a primary missile bay with room for four missiles and two secondary bays for small single missiles. It has twin WS-15 turbofan engines to provide sufficient power to perform at least as well as any other fifth generation fighters.
